Vintage one-of-a-kind c1960s custom made 14K yellow gold butterfly or moth ring.  This unique ring features a butterfly or moth encased in glass within a 14K yellow gold bezel and set in a mounting fashioned with stylized brushed gold butterflies or moths at each side. The butterfly/moth is real butterfly wing.
The butterfly symbolizes joy and transformation.  In early Christianity the butterfly symbolized the soul.  Cultures of the American southwest revered the butterfly.  The butterfly or moth has long been a symbol of freedom and great beauty.
The bezel set round butterfly wing setting measures 11/16" in diameter or 12 mm in diameter.
